I live in Southeast Iowa where I was born and raised. I graduated from Cedarville University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. I met my husband, Chad, in college and we were married shortly after graduating. We moved to Holland, MI where I taught fifth grade part time at Calvary Baptist School. Almost exactly two years after we were married we had our first son, Carter, and I became a stay at home mom. Being a stay at home mom was something I had always wanted and yet when I began I quickly learned that motherhood had a lot to teach me and I had a lot to learn! Now, after 12 years of marriage, four children, and 5 years of home schooling under my belt, I feel like there is no end to the learning for any of us. I didn’t plan to homeschool, but I’m so glad that we chose this wonderfully messy, sometimes chaotic, and sometimes blissful life.
